Kiwifruit-Banana Immunity Oats 

We were inspired by Harraways who have created Blackcurrant Spiced Apple Immunity oats with added zinc and iron to come up with our own immune boosting breakfast.

 Our immunity oats are a delicious and filling combo of whole plant-based foods that help optimise your gut and immune health. 

🥝 Kiwifruit-Banana Immunity Oats 🍌

1 kiwifruit, sliced (green or gold, you choose)

1 banana

1/2 cup unsalted cannellini beans (or other white bean, about 1/4 can)

Oats (we prefer wholegrain rolled oats)

Plant-based milk (we use soy)

Cinnamon

 

Optional extras:

*1 tbsp chia seeds – extra zinc, and all the omega 3 you need for the day
*Matcha – If you need your caffeine kick in the morning, also boosts immunity
*Strawberries – because they go great with kiwifruit and add an extra serving of fruit

 

Mash banana and beans together in your breakfast bowl with a fork. Add cinnamon (and chia seeds and matcha if using) and stir. Pour your usual amount of oats on top, and stir again to combine.

Add water and microwave per instructions or use boiling water and let sit for 10-20 minutes.  Top with kiwifruit slices (and strawberries or other fruit if using). Pour on your plant-based milk and enjoy!
